Plant societies offer opportunities for garden tours, plant sales, flower shows, horticultural information and engaging speakers. The Plant Societies Chairman serves as a resource for National Plant Society Affiliates and active societies in Georgia, encouraging garden club members to join local and national plant societies.

Annual membership dues of $25 (payable to GCG) are due by March 1st. Registration and collection of dues from Plant Societies shall be administered by the State Plant Societies Chairman.

Benefits of Membership

• May participate in select programs, events, meetings, and schools available to GCG’s general membership, but without the privilege of a vote.
• Garden Gateways subscription for the President
• Brief listings of society news and show announcements in Garden Gateways
• A working relationship with plant societies is encouraged by GCG member participation in the Design, Horticulture, and Special Exhibits Division of a Plant Society Standard Flower Show.
• Ability to apply for GCG special awards for their participation in flower shows – GCG Awards #34 and #23-B and NGC Award #34 (Plant Society Standard Flower Show Achievement Award).
• Inclusion of major society events on GCG Calendar and publication of those events to selective audiences by email. Contact the chairman for more details.
