Plant societies offer opportunities for garden tours, plant sales, flower shows, horticultural information and engaging speakers. The Plant Societies Chairman serves as a resource for National Plant Society Affiliates and active societies in Georgia, encouraging garden club members to join local and national plant societies.

Annual membership dues of $15 (payable to GCG) are due by March 1st. Registration and collection of dues from Plant Societies shall be administered by the State Plant Societies Chairman.

A Plant Society Member shall be eligible to participate in select programs, events, and schools available to GCG’s general membership, but without the privilege of a vote. The Society President shall receive Garden Gateways, and the plant society may list a short announcement of its shows (one time per year) at no charge in Garden Gateways. A working relationship with plant societies is encouraged by GCG member participation in the Design, Horticulture, and Special Exhibits Division of a Plant Society Standard Flower Show. Plant Societies are encouraged to apply for special awards for their participation in flower shows – GCG Awards #34 and #23-B and NGC Award #34 (Plant Society Standard Flower Show Achievement Award).
