This spring the Four Seasons Garden Club of Marietta, Laurel District, planted a welcome garden near the entrance of Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue in Kennesaw, GA. Mostly Mutts has been working to reduce the number of animals euthanized at shelters in Metro Atlanta since 2004. They provide housing, health care, training, physical and emotional care for the animals until they can be placed in a new home.
The colorful and cheerful garden has been very well received by the animal shelter’s guests, staff and managers. Several volunteers have mentioned that during stressful days they often go outside and to enjoy the beautiful flowers and butterflies in the new garden.
