GCG Support Capital Conservation Day
The Georgia Water Coalition held this event at the Georgia State Capitol on Tuesday, February 21, from 8 am to 1 pm. We gathered for a continental breakfast, orientation, and issue briefings at the Central Presbyterian Church. Then we walked across the street to the Capitol for a group photograph and to meet with legislators about timely water legislation.
The Garden Club of Georgia is a member of the Georgia Water Coalition leadership team. The Dogwood District and the Redbud District were Capital Conservation Day sponsors. In attendance from Dogwood District were Barbara Bourque (Bellmere) Chris Adams (Sandy Springs), Sandra Kruger (Druid Hills). In attendance from Laurel District/Redbud District was Diane Hunter and from Redbud District Tally Sweat. We had the opportunity to meet with legislators and educate them on the two bills of interest.
