Seven Hills Garden Club, Rome, GA

The Library Garden at the Sarah Hightower Library has been an ongoing project using small groups monthly, maintaining perennials and natives. The garden is thriving with our monthly attention to needed weeding, deadheading, and cleanup.  Rain has kept everything blooming. Hardy zinnias were planted in the large planters for pollinators. Asters, Blanket Flower, and Swamp Sunflowers, thrilled us in the fall. Pansies were added for winter color. Toxic nandina berries were removed after the Christmas holidays.

Monthly, we work with inmates that provide maintenance to the garden, and provide them further education in gardening and the specific needs for each of our plants in the Library Garden.
